For occupational therapists

Product facts first. Child preference always.

Every specification below is taken from the product pages. We describe what a tool weighs, what it does, and what the child has to do with it.

We do not tell you what it will achieve — that is your clinical judgement, not our marketing copy.

Three things we hold to

  1. Describe the input, not the outcome

A specification can tell you a tool weighs 3 lbs across four wings. It cannot tell you whether that helps a particular child. We stop at the first part.

  2. Weighted is a feature, not a default

One of these products is weighted. The rest are not. Weight is one property to evaluate alongside sound, washability, and how the child has to hold the thing.

  3. Offer, don’t require

Every product is designed to be picked up, put down, or refused. If a child rejects a tool, that is information — not a compliance problem to solve.

Product specifications

Six products, with the physical facts as published. Where a page does not state something, the row says so rather than guessing.

Testing and safety

Every Calm Caterpillar plush is independently tested by a CPSC-accepted third-party laboratory and certified to meet or exceed U.S. federal toy safety standards, including ASTM F963. We hold a valid Children’s Product Certificate documenting compliance. Testing is conducted by an accredited independent laboratory, not by us.

Tested for

  1. Lead and heavy metals

Screened to ensure levels stay within strict federal safety limits.

  2. Small parts and choking hazards

Evaluated for age-appropriate design and durability.

  3. Flammability

Tested to confirm safe material performance.

  4. Material quality and construction

Seams, stuffing, and attached components, tested for normal use, impact, pulling, and twisting.

Two things to flag in a shared setting: Rory the Lion contains a removable voice box with small battery parts, and every product carries an adult supervision requirement.

Professional questions

Do you make clinical claims about these products?

No. We publish what a product is, what it weighs, what the child does with it, and how to clean it. Whether a tool suits a particular child is your judgement.

Which products work in a shared or quiet setting?

Calmee, Flutter, Rory Junior, and Bloomie generate no sound of their own. Buzzee makes a child-generated buzz. Rory the Lion has a voice box that cannot be muted.

Which are machine washable?

Calmee is machine washable, lay flat to dry. Rory can be machine washed once the voice box is removed. Flutter, Buzzee, Rory Junior, and Bloomie are spot clean.

How is the weight distributed in Flutter?

Three pounds (about 1.4 kg) spread evenly across the body and all four wings, so it can sit on a lap, over the shoulders, or against the chest.

Can I get a purchase order or district invoice?

Yes. Use the form above and tell us the organisation and timeline, and we will reply by email with the ordering route.

Is there anything written for the adults?

The Mindfulness Guide for Neurodivergent Learners covers regulation, co-regulation, and Calm Corner setup for children ages 3 to 8.

Professional and caseload orders

Evaluation units, caseload sets, and clinic orders run through a quote rather than the cart. Tell us what you need and we will come back with one.

Options, not a prescription.

Every tool lists the physical action it offers, whether it makes sound, whether it is weighted, and where it may not fit.
