How this helps

Calmee gives the body one small thing to do:

  • A visible breath — stretch Calmee out on the inhale, let it come back on the exhale.
  • Something to count — ten segments to move through, one at a time.
  • Steady pressure — a squeeze or something to hold onto instead of an answer.

Made for: transitions, waiting rooms and car rides; bedtime and quiet time at home; calm corners in classrooms and therapy spaces; kids who do better with a physical option than another instruction.

Calmee calms

"My sone has one at his preschool and often has it around his neck when I pick him up. I got him one for Christmas, and he loves it. He sometimes uses it when he’s worked up. It mostly we do breathing before reading books then read books with calmeee, it is lovely."

— Michelle V. (5/5)

Best comforting tool

"One child instantly took to it, my other it took time and repetition, but it is worth to keep trying! It is such a great calming tool but also a comforting stuffy for kids! Now both love calmee and it helps them both so much…so much so I have to buy another because they both reach for it so often to play with or use as needed for calming down/comfort, especially at bedtime… taking it as a win!❤️"

— Devyni (5/5)

My grandkids love it!

"Very well made with sturdy material and stitching. I gave one to my granddaughter and her brother loved it so much, he asked for one. (Both on the spectrum.) I tried it out and was impressed. The weighted caterpillar fits nicely around my neck with just the right amount of weight."

— Karla S. (5/5)

My great grandson is autistic

"My great grandson is autistic and he loves it ❤️"

— Joyce M. (5/5)

6 year old loves it

— Lindsay M. (5/5)

Worth the money!

"My son is not obsessed with it or anything but I have seen it help regulate him so we will continue to add it into his routine!"

Q&A

Watch

See it used before you buy it.

Two short films. One shows a child using Calmee in an ordinary moment. One walks an adult through each action, so you know what you are handing over.

A child using Calmee

What it actually looks like in a home: picked up, stretched a few times, counted, and put down again.

  • Stretching with one slow breath
  • Counting the ten segments out loud
  • Draping it across a lap

Each action, shown slowly

For the adult: stretch, count, and drape, demonstrated once so you can show it the same way at home.

Your first week with Calmee

Most of the first week is lowering the stakes. Three things worth knowing before you start.

Day one

How to introduce it

Open the box on an ordinary day, not a hard one. Let your child hold Calmee before you explain anything. Then show one action — stretch it with a slow breath — hand it back, and stop talking.

Days two to four

What a good session looks like

Shorter than you expect. A few stretches, some counting, or just holding it while you talk about something else. If your child sets Calmee down after thirty seconds, that was a session.

Any day

When it doesn’t work

Some days it won’t, and that is ordinary. Put Calmee back where it lives, skip the explanation, and leave it available. Offer it again another time. Use is never required.

Start with one simple option.

  1. Model

An adult demonstrates one action during a neutral moment.

  2. Offer

The child chooses stretch, count, drape, another action, or no tool.

  3. Pause

Give the child room to notice what feels useful.

  4. Repeat or stop

Repeat only if wanted; Calmee can be set aside at any time.

Optional 60-second routine

Stretch with one slow breath. Count several segments. Hold Calmee for a moment. Stop, repeat, or choose something else.

A demonstration, not a required protocol or timing promise.

When Calmee may fit

  • Before or during a transition
  • In a travel bag or waiting routine
  • During quiet time
  • As one option in a home or classroom calm corner
  • While talking about feelings
  • During a familiar breathing or counting routine

Calmee does not need to be reserved for hard moments. Introduce it when things are neutral so the actions feel familiar later.
